
Flower Wreath Strawberry Short Cake
Ingredients
Cheese Cake Roll:
7pcs | Egg yolk |
105g | Sugar |
168g | Cake flour |
1 1/2 tsp | Vanilla |
85g | Butter |
1 1/4 tsp | Salt |
3/4 tsp | Baking powder |
Meringue:
7pcs | Egg white |
105g | Sugar |
1 1/2 tsp | Cream of tartar |
Frosting & Filling:
200g | Whipping cream |
100g | Cold water |
200g | DLA La Fruta Strawberry Filling |
Piped Flowers:
400g | Whipping cream |
Procedure
- Whip egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually whip in melted butter and vanilla.
- Add sifted cake flour, baking powder and salt. Mix with spatula until smooth.
- In another mixer, whip egg whites until frothy. Then add the cream of tartar.
- Slowly add the sugar and whip until medium peak stage.
- Fold the meringue into the egg yolk mixture carefully.
- Pour the mixture into 4 greased and parchment paper lined cake pans (6 inch diameter)
- Cake in 160˚C oven until light golden brown.
Frosting:
- Whip the whipping cream using paddle attachment until smooth for at least 2 minutes.
- Change attachment to whisk and continue whipping while gradually pouring in cold water.
- Continue whipping until desired consistency.
Piped Flowers:
- Whip the whipping cream using paddle attachment until smooth for at least 2 minutes.

Assembly:
- Put one layer of sponge onto a cake board.
- Spray or brush simple syrup into the cake.
- Pipe a ring of whipped cream around the edge of cake and at the center.
- Spread DLA La Fruta Strawberry inside the ring.
- Cover with another layer of cake.
- Continue process form 1-5 until the last layer.
- Frost the cake with whipped cream and top with piped flowers.
